Does a 200-Person GCC Need a VP-Level HR Head?
A mid-sized GCC with around 200 employees does not necessarily require a VP-level HR Head. At this scale, the priority should be effective HR delivery, employee engagement, talent management, compliance, and alignment with the global HR strategy, rather than hierarchy. A capable Senior HR Manager can effectively lead the HR function, supported by HR operations and talent acquisition resources as required. A VP-level role becomes more relevant when the GCC is significantly larger, rapidly scaling, managing multiple locations, or operating as a strategic business and talent hub. Right-sized leadership creates efficiency without compromising HR effectiveness.
